Adventure 15

Hello fellow detective ,let me first welcoming the new member of the club.Their are my class students.Now let get to business shall we.Up here is a video , and i need you all to watch it and think what is the video is all about.

From the video , your job is to keep a diary/journal for the week ahead.Write an entry for each day.Write about what your experience during the day and your thoughts and feelings.You don't have to post it to this blog.all you need to do is show it to me in class.

Abbreviations

An abbreviation (from Latin brevis, meaning short) is a shortened form of a word or phrase. Usually, but not always, it consists of a letter or group of letters taken from the word or phrase. For example, the word abbreviation can itself be represented by the abbreviation abbr., abbrv. or abbre.

We use abbreviations when we talk with friends and when we write diaries and informal letters.
There are different classes of abbreviations

1.Those that use part of word(these is called clipping) e.g phone -telephone
2.Those that use initials e.g - VIP
3. Those that use first and last letters e.g - MR

Your job is to hunt down as many abbreviations that you can including the act actual words of every single abbreviations you found.Good Luck.
